A GIS Analysis of a New Transmission Line
The purpose of this project was to perform a GIS analysis on the impacts of adding a new transmission line. It's always surprising to me how wonderful GIS is and the data we can pull from it. With this analysis, I performed the impact this new line would have on environmentally sensitive lands, homeowners, property owners, schools, and cost. Below, you fill find one link to a story map, a recording of myself presenting the map, and a transcript that you can follow along (I may have veered off slightly).
Overall I find the Story Map to be a powerful tool to convey a presentation, as it tends to be more immersive than a PowerPoint. In the near future, particularly my profession, I plan to use this as a tool to further connect with my audience.
