Identification through Aerial Photographs

The purpose of the map above is to differentiate different scales or texture and tone. In the texture category, I differentiated based off a varying levels of smoothness ranging from very coarse to very fine. The very coarse area is represented by scattered vegetation and the very fine area is represented by a smooth body of water. In the Tone category, they range very light to very dark.

The purpose of the map above was to identify features based off different characteristics. One example would be the parking lot, where you can see parking lines staggered next each other. This weas done using the pattern characteristic. Another example is the pier using the shadow characteristic, the shadow slowing gets further from the object making it appear as a bridge.
